Riverdale Volunteer Fire DepartmentArchived 3/6/09

vanry.jpg Riverdale's Bravest In Action Again! - See Photos
Riverdale's Bravest were called upon for the second time in the past five days to fight a fire. This time it was in the woods behind Wesley Street on Saturday, February 14. Thank God we didn't have the high winds of a few days ago; the houses would definitely have been in jeopardy. Thank you to the members of the Riverdale Volunteer Fire Department. Assisting them were the departments from Kinnelon and Pequannock as well as the Wanaque First Aid Squad. Thanks to all!

Unexpected Denizen of Riverdale Archived 3/1/09

fed-hill---tilcont-7-31-08-023.jpg This Mink is common but seldom observed along our streams and ponds. In fact it is found throughout the U.S. and Canada (except in certain areas of Utah, Arizona and New Mexico). This photo was taken along the Pequannock River and is probably a female attending to her brood. Photo taken by Don Pruden
